Paradigm High School in South Jordan which is a small charter school of 390 scholars grades 7-12 holds a Penny Wars fundraiser with the money going to a charity of the scholars choosing. This year, they chose to raise money for Operation Underground Railroad, which helps to rescue children suffering sex trafficking and exploitation. This year, in one month’s time, Paradigm scholars raised over $25,187!
Their previous record was $17,000 last year which was donated to Vinnies Bushfire Appeal to help with the bushfires in Australia. In previous years they raised smaller but significant amounts for Building Blocks for Africa, Disabled American Veterans and Harambe Humanitarian. One of Paradigm's core values is service to the community and to our world. The leaders of the school are so proud of their scholars for their dedication to honor the nobility in every person, to live in gratitude and to create a better world through servant leadership and their unique gifts.
