Officer Joseph Shinner was killed in the line of duty January 2019. In an interview with abc4, Kaylyn Shinners, spoke about the last year without her husband — and the difficulties of raising their newborn child without a father. Kaylyn found out three days after the funeral that she was pregnant with their 2nd son. Kaylyn now wants to be able to honor her husband by getting his name on the wall in DC.
