Unruly Passenger Diverts Flight To Land In SLC

A 39-year-old man on board a Virgin-Atlantic flight from the United Kingdom to Los Angeles became abusive and caused a flight intended to land in LA to divert to Salt Lake City. KUTV reports that he was charged with "interference with a flight crew and assault by striking, beating and wounding". He could end up in prison for a decade. He appeared in court in shackles and accompanied by two US Marshalls.
