Bradley Cooper opened up about being held at knifepoint in New York City. During an appearance The Armchair Expert podcast, he told Dax Shepard that he was on his way to pick up Lea De Seine– his daughter with Irina Shayk– when it happened.
The Oscar nominee was wearing noise-canceling headphones when someone approached him on the subway. While he initially thought it was about to be a selfie request, he said, “I look down and I see a knife,” which he thought was nice at the time. But then he looked at the person’s eyes. “I'm taken by how young they are. And then, I'm sure you were taught this, you don't ever run from knife, you just try to, like, stay there.”
Bradley then “knocked” the attacker's arm up and jumped over the turnstile to escape. When the person also started running away, he took photos of him and approached police officers outside the subway station. He said, “Then I got back in the subway and picked up my daughter. It was crazy.”
