My close friend did home mortgages. We stayed informed on the whole process, he tried to sign us at a higher interest rate and when I pointed that out, day of closing he doesn't show up and our fees and closing costs were $1,200 than we were told they'd be.

I had a friend that I used to live with in some apartments here in Utah. We both put a deposit down of $500. when our contract was up she took all the money I asked her for it and she denied ever getting it back. I asked the apartment and they said they gave it to her since she was the primary person.
