TEXT TOPIC: What rated R movie did you watch when you were little?

boogie nights with my parents, I was 10 - still traumatized

I was 6 or 7 when I saw Nightmare on Elm St. Also how is that person watching Married at Fist Sight Australia? I have been looking and can't find it.

my wife saw the movie Private Parts at age 13. With her mother

Cabin Fever came out in 2002 and I was 5 years old when my parents took me to see it in theater 😂 that movie still freaks me out. Couldn't believe I saw it at 5

Saturday Night Fever, I was 10. I'm sure there were others but this is the one I remember.

I can't believe I saw Firestarter. It came out when I was 4 yrs old and that's when I saw it. I remember when people would ask what my favorite movie was and instead of Snow White or E.T. I would say "Firestarter".

At age 10 I saw Starship Troopers. Scared me back then, now 1 of my favorite movies.

The Exorcist! I was 9 I didn't sleep for six months lol

My ex mother in law took all the grandkids to Titanic all under the age of 10 when the nude scene came on she covered my sons eyes and he threw her hands off and said my mom let's me watch this stuff

Friday the 13th - Jason Takes Manhattan when I was 7. Horror fan ever since!

For me, it was Stripes! there were some boobs on there that I probably wasn't supposed to see you at 11 or 12 yrs of age

Gangs of New York. I was about 16 and was grossed out the whole time.

I watched 'the faculty' when I was 7. Still remember it like it was yesterday lol

we weren't allowed to watch rated R movies when we were little, except for pretty woman, because my mom thought it was cute. Watched it alllll the time!

ex husband watched Get Shorty with our 4 and 7 year old. They were traumatized for a bit!

I remember watching the exorcist when I was really young with my dad. It got to the point where I saw it may be a couple times and thought it was funny one time I asked if we could watch the movie with the girl and her head spinning and my mom was so mad at my dad.

maybe 10ish but I was flipping through channels and House of Wax was on. I had nightmares for MONTHS! Even to this day (I'm 29) I can't watch any scary movies!

I was maybe 11 when my adult sister and I watched scream together.

9 years old and my parents took me my younger sister to watch the passion of the Christ. A bit much for a 9 year old. I just remember crying my eyes out, turning around and seeing my sister crying and biting her knee of how traumatized she was

Titanic. My sister and I age 5&6 weren't allowed to watch it, but we sneakily watched nude scene and all.

When my mom was in 3rd grade they had a class party. They rolled in the TV and played Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho in class.

resurrection of the living dead! I was around 8 or 9, had nightmares for days after that. No adult told me not to watch it

I was probably six years old parents took me to the drive-in's back in the day and they had my brother and I in the backseat telling us to go to sleep and I looked up and the movie was a clockwork Orange OMG! They had no idea what movie they had signed up for lol

I watched house on haunted hill when I was 10. My cousin and I thought we were cool for watching an r rated movie. Didn't sleep well for weeks!

I watched ghost ship when I was like 8 late at night I swear I got a fever after watching from being scared lol

Steven King's Rose Red when I was about 10 with my family and it terrified me. Haven't watched it since.

saw Jawbreaker at my cousins house when I was 8... they put a girl in the trunk with a jawbreaker in her mouth and put tape over her it, you could see it bulging in her throat

the movie I shouldn't have seen when I was like 6-10 was all the nightmare on elm streets, puppet masters, chainsaw movies, and IT. My mom was a huge horror movie watcher and I guess didnt care if I saw them. Still to this day I have issues watching scary movies. What was she thinking???

Saw IT at a friends house. About 10 years old. No parent supervision at all.

I remember watching True Lies with Jamie Lee Curtis and Arnold Schwarzenegger with my parents at 8. Not too scary but the scene where he has her dance for him

saw 10 with boderick at my friend's house. Her Big Brother thought it was funny for us to watch it with him. I was about 10 and way too young for that!

when I was 7 or 8 we went on vacation and watched Stephen kings the langoliers as a family. I remember being so terrified!! Also that same year we had a family movie night and watched "it". Great memories with the family hiding under blankets on my parents bed because we were all scared. Guess my parents thought it would just be a fun little clown movie

My parents took us to the drive-in theater to see One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975. It is a great movie but ptobably not for a 10 year old. Very deep and sad!

when I was about 11 my friend and I snuck in to see Jay & Silent Bob strike back it completely changed my sense of humor lol

my younger sisters and I watched south park when we were little. I knew it was a bad movie and my parents are Hispanic and didn't speak much English. I showed them a cartoon and they were sold! Lol

my first rated R movie was the Ted Bundy movie The Deliberate Stranger with Mark Harmon. I was about 7 or 8.

my dad used to take my sister and I to movies that my mom refused to let us see that were rated R - Silence of the Lambs when I was 10, night of the living dead, Mary Lou prom night 2, Dolls, about last night with Demi Moore and Rob Lowe, The Good Son, and many more throughout my childhood and teenage years.

When I was 5 my favorite movie was Pretty Woman.

blazing saddles on a free HBO weekend, I was 9 & thought it was hilarious, My mom kept saying it was inappropriate, found out it was R after the fact,love Mel Brooks movies but I can't imagine letting my kids watch blazing saddles

8 or 9 saw Child's Play for the first time I had to get rid of all of my dolls after that.

I was lucky enough to go to the drive in and see the Omen... I was 8 and it scared the hell out of me! Plus I was outside where anything could get to me!

I was about 7 or 8 and my older sister was 9 or 10 and our dad made us watch The Exorcist. Nightmares for a long time.

i watched american pie with my sisters when we were kids lol i'm the youngest and i think i was 8

The Shining. I was 7. I had older siblings that rented it and brought it home. I was so traumatized I tried to block it out. It wasn't until decades later I was explaining to someone this show. All I could remember was a big house in the middle of nowhere and a lot of snow but I knew it creeped me out. He said "THATS. THE SHINING!"

The movie was KIDS... I was 11, traumatized me to not being intimate.

saw caddy shack when I was in 5th 6th ish grade so about 11 or 12.

I watched Killer Clowns from Outer Space when I was 8. I am still terrified of Clowns none of them can be trusted.

watched Kujo and Children of the corn as a kid and it was the scariest two shows ever! Although sometimes's I call my kids "children of the corn" no one gets it
