TEXT TOPIC: Did your student jack you up physically?

Pre K teacher here, finger broken by a 4yr old. All in a days work

I was a fifth grade teacher and a huge boy tackled me out on the playground, tor two discs in my back Teachers don't get paid enough

Kinder teacher here. I did 8 weeks of physical therapy because of a 5 year old pushing me over. Chairs thrown. Biting. Bruised for 6 weeks before student was moved to appropriate placement for behavior needs. All behavior is communication.

I retired as a teacher. I taught school in the East LA. the high school that I taught a fight broke out between students, I and a few other teachers went to stop the fight. I ended getting jumped. I fought back to defend myself. And another teacher got shot in the leg. The whole story is wild but yea.

Sp-ed teacher here. Kicking, biting, scratching to bleeding, hair pulling can be a daily occurrence for us. Non-verbal students are even harder to understand when they are communicating their needs. We are constantly looking for triggers to avoid it. Hunger, lights, sounds, people, smells anything can trigger. We always have to be on our toes it's exhausting.

I work in a behavior unit and it's almost a daily that we get stuff thrown at us I've been bits I've been hits I've had furniture thrown and I get called pretty nasty names all day every day it's the job

my SIL is a 2nd grade teacher and has one student that gets physical with her and the aids daily and parents basically tell her it's not their responsibility how the kid behaves when at school. The student has siblings that behave the same and my SIL said she might have to quit if she gets this kids younger sibling.
