Metro is Offering Free Rides Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve

Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve are undoubtedly two of the biggest turn up nights of the year, and LA Metro wants to make sure you turn up safely.

According to KTLA, on Sunday, Dec. 24 and Sunday, Dec. 31 rides on Metro buses and trains will be free between 9 p.m. and 2 a.m.

"Metro has offered the free rides for several years in an effort to help Angelenos travel safely during the holidays and avoid “holiday gridlock, parking costs and hassles,” Metro officials said, according to KTLA. "Fare gates will be unlatched and fare boxes and validators will not deduct a fare from any TAP cards."
