Oregon recently passed a law allowing customers to pump their own gas at gas stations located in counties with 40,000 or less residents.
Why is this a big deal? Since 1951, it has been illegal for a customer to pump their own gasoline in the state of Oregon. It’s believed to be an unsafe service and one to only be performed by a professional gas jockey.
Some Oregonians are coming unglued at the news of being able to pump their own gasoline.
