Florida Teen Arrested for Online Threat to Kill Seven People at School

The Volusia County Sheriff's Office in Florida and the FBI arrested a 15-year-old high school student last week for a threatening comment he posted online. The boy posted the threat in video game chat saying he would bring his father’s M15 rifle to school and kill a minimum of seven people.

The FBI tracked down his location and showed up at his home where placed him under arrest. He told the agents it was a joke but "Joke or not, these types of comments are felonies under the law," the sheriff's office said in a statement.

Body-camera footage released by the sheriff's office shows the moment deputies handcuff the teen outside his home.
