Dropped our oldest off at college last year. I had no idea we would grieve that so much. It was especially hard last year with all the uncertainty of Covid. He's been home this summer working, but is heading back to school next week. Hoping it's easier this year.
My oldest is moving out next week and my Senior in High school has his heart set on Northwestern it's all hitting so fast and while I'm excited for this next phase it is very hard. Grandma says the mark of a good parent is that your kids do leave so I cling to that ??
21 yr old son moving out. Hes my youngest. He will be a block away but I made him leave his dog. So he would come home on a regular basis to see the dog. A high energy Husky/Malamute who needs A LOT if exercise.

Just dropped my oldest son off at college at Dixie in St. George. He isn't to far from home but I am feeling all the emotions. But I held in the tears until after we drove away. I hope I taught him enough and I am so proud. But the feelings are all over the place!
