too many instances to list as a young pretty nurse with pervy old docs. Looking back wish I weren't so naive. Sexual harassment for sure.
I joined the military when I was 18. Just a baby and grew up in the Utah bubble. I got out at 24 and quickly started to realize how toxic my cop career field was. I knew I was harassed everyday, but I didn't realize how bad the harassment actually was. I didn't realize I had been assaulted when I was drunk. I thought it was my fault because that's what leadership said. I'm now a huge women's activist and can easily spot intentions and words that are harassment. Young women learn too often to shut up and laugh when uncomfortable, so I'm grateful for the lessons so I can help other women now not go through what I did.
My friend was removing tobacco from cigars and filling with "flavored" tobacco. I was in my 30's before I realized she was making a blunt.
When in Atlanta at the hotel bar a couple approached my husband and myself making friendly talk. The man asked if we were staying at the hotel and said they were also, Then proceeded together their Room #. My husband quickly brushed it off & said let's go, I didn't know what was going on until he explained to me they wanted to have some fun in their room. Ewww, I was so offended, do we look desperate! He had a huge beer belly w/a beard halfway down his chest & the woman was wearing a denim mini skirt with tan hosiery & white pumps. I thought what is this 1985! LMAO
