Tammi’s Closet in Amesbury, Massachusetts, has hundreds of free prom dresses for those who can’t afford to buy one.
Betty Vitale. a Massachusetts woman, had a daughter die in a car accident in 1996 and was of course devastated. She wanted to find positivity in her community. She decided to create Tammi's Closet, which is a donation service that provides free prom dresses to girls who are less fortunate.
Tammi’s Closet was running, they donated 17 dresses. Last year, they were up to 257! And thanks to donations, Betty now has more than 900 dresses to give away to teens in the New England area.
