Mike Pierce, 48, is in the cardiac intensive care unit at Intermountain Medical Center (IMC). He’s been there for more than a month awaiting a heart transplant. Due to circumstance keeping him from leaving the hospital, he would have missed his son’s wedding. Zach and his fiancée moved the ceremony to the roof of the hospital's parking garage. Mike has a clear view from his window and listened to the ceremony through video conferencing from a Zoom feed.
