If you can believe it, it's been ten years since the release of Nicki Minaj's debut studio album, Pink Friday.
In honor of the momentous occasion, the "Expensive" rapper surprised her fans, the Barbz, by dropping a 10th anniversary edition of the classic LP — Pink Friday: The Complete Edition — on Friday (November 20) that features eight bonus tracks.
Hours prior to the landmark anniversary, Nicki teased a “virtual celebration” for Pink Friday, tweeting, "Barbz, Friday is the 10 year anniversary of Pink Friday. get your outfits ready for the virtual celebration."
As fans know, the iconic LP, which catapulted Nicki into superstardom, features triple-platinum “BedRock” (ft. Young Money & Lloyd), "Your Love," "Check It Out," "Right Thru Me," platinum “Moment 4 Life” (ft. Drake), 8x-platinum “Super Bass,” "Did It On'em," "Girls Fall Like Dominoes," and "Fly" (ft. Rihanna).
The certified triple-platinum album had the second-highest sales week for a female hip hop recording artist, spent fourteen consecutive weeks in the top ten on the Billboard 200 chart, spent six weeks at No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop albums chart, received three Grammy Award nominations, and claimed Rap Album of the Year at the American Music Awards.
