"It's happening!"

Louis Tomlinson announced on Thursday (August 29) that he will be releasing a new song next week. The news comes just a couple days after he mysteriously tweeted "KMM" which we now know to be an acronym for the upcoming song: "Kill My Mind."

He revealed the new song name and release date in an Instagram post where the 27-year-old singer showed off the black-and-white single artwork (where he looks hot AF while staring into the depths of my soul). "So happy to finally announce my new single #KillMyMind will be out a week today! Soooooo excited for you all to hear what I’ve been working on!" he captioned the photo.

On top of that, he #blessed us with an Instagram Story video telling his 13.8 million followers about how excited he his for the song and that it'll be out next Thursday (September 5). So don't mind me while I watch that on loop for the next seven days — weekend plans sorted.

"Kill My Mind" is being released a few months after the former One Direction star released his heart-wrenching and personal track "Two of Us" earlier this spring. The single will be the next up after the singer signed with Arista Records in February of this year.

In June, he also teased 2020 tour dates while appearing on The Late Late Show with James Corden where he dished he was hoping to set up some smaller shows before hitting big venues — take all my money, Tomlinson!
