(FOUND) Police searching for missing, endangered 12-year-old girl

UPDATE: South Salt Lake Police have said Asiah was found "safe and well." Details about where Asiah was found weren't immediately released.

Asiah Mister, 12, was reported missing about 12:45 a.m. Thursday August 1st.

Asiah’s grandmother told police the girl left her apartment at 3800 S. Carlisle Lane (965 West) about 4 p.m. Wednesday to meet a friend at a Maverik store, according to Keller.

Asiah’s brother messaged her on social media about 10 p.m. and was told she was heading home, but she did not return, Keller said.

Police pinged Asiah’s phone about 2:20 a.m. and got a location near 4600 S. 2930 West, but the phone was turned off and the signal lost.

Asiah is described as a black girl about 5 feet tall and 90 pounds. She has black hair worn in a ponytail, and may be wearing a lavender shirt with multicolored llamas and four squares, as well as light blue jeans and fuzzy grey slippers.
