Six LDS Missionaries Held At Gunpoint in West Valley City

Six Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints missionaries arrived at Windsor Mobile Estates for an appointment at 8pm on Thursday night. They had an appointment with 46-year-old Paul Marquez who invited them into his home. Marquez then held the six missionaries at gunpoint for an hour until they were able to convince him to let them go. As soon as they were released, they called police.

Officers arrived and arrested Marquez who was intoxicated and now faces charges for aggravated assault, kidnapping and possession of a firearm by a restricted person.
