Bakers Are Furious over Their Missing Hershey’s Chocolate Kiss Tips

Bakers around the U.S. are wondering where the tips of their Hershey Kisses have gone. Many are posting photos of their no tipped kisses asking Hershey where they went.

Peanut butter cookies topped with a chocolate candy kiss are very popular holiday treats, but some bakers think they are being sabotaged. Laura Magone called the Hershey customer support number and was told that the factory was breaking the chocolate tips off on purpose to avoid having them break off in the bags during transit.

“I told her she had to be kidding that she thought I would believe that,” she said, adding that the kisses weren’t uniformly broken,” Magone said.

Another baker texted customer service and said, “I know this will sound funny, but when you are making hundreds of Christmas cookies and you have numerous bags of kisses and 95% don’t have the tips it does make a difference in presentation.”

Jeff Beckman, Hershey’s director of corporate communications, said in an email that Hershey “is now looking at the issue.”
