Joshua Trump was relentlessly bullied in elementary school due to his last name. He is not related to the 45th President of the United States but his father said that Joshua, "…was getting ridiculed and bullied for the fact that his last name was Trump." The bullying was so bad that Joshua was pulled out of public school where he was home schooled for a year.
When it came time for Joshua to got to middle school, his parents thought things would change but the bullying did not stop. "He said he hates himself, and he hates his last name, and he feels sad all the time, and he doesn't want to live feeling like that anymore, and as a parent that's scary," said his mother.
The school has agreed to change Joshua's last name to his father's name (Beto) in their system.
