Adidas partnered with Parley for the Oceans in 2016 to start making shoes using recycled plastics recovered from beaches and the ocean. During a recent interview, the CEO of Adidas said that in 2017, the company sold 1 million shoes made out of ocean plastic. Each shoe reuses 11 plastic bottles, so that’s 11 million plastic bottles that are not in our oceans!
