Good News (3/7) – Local Toy maker Gets Huge Surprise from Mike Rowe

Last fall we told you about the Tiny Tim Foundation here in Utah that builds and donates wooden toy cars to kids at Primary Children’s Hospital, but also around the world. It’s run completely on donations and volunteers. Alton, the head toy maker, feared he may have to shut down the toy shop in West Jordan after the individual who had been paying the rent on the workshop could no longer help.

Mike Rowe hosts a Facebook show called “Returning the Favor”  where he gives back to people for their service to their communities. He was recently made aware of the operation and came to Utah to honor Alton. Mike presented Alton with $10,000 to pay rent on the workshop. This summer, the foundation will make it’s 1 millionth toy car.
