Olympian Breaks NECK?! Then Finishes Race!

Austrian snowboarder Markus Schairer broke his neck in a crash Thursday during a quarterfinal race in snowboard cross in Pyeongchang. He fractured his fifth cervical vertebrae when he landed on his upper back and neck on the course's final jump. He somehow returned to his feet and finished the race, but is now being flown back to Austria by medical personnel.
