Sunday, July 9th will mark the first annual Utah 1033 Ride, an event that honors those who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the line of duty.
The event is named after The Utah 1033 Foundation, a local non-profit dedicated to providing immediate financial support to families of Utah’s fallen law enforcement officers.
The ride begins at Harley Davidson of Salt Lake with registration starting at 10 a.m. and the ride at 1 p.m.
Escorted by Utah’s law enforcement, the ride will follow a breathtaking drive up the canyon and end at Deer Valley Resort’s Snow Park Lodge.
Once at the Snow Park Lodge, motorcyclists and attendees will hear from Sergeant Derek Johnson’s widow, Shante Johnson and Attorney General Sean Reyes.
The event will also include a 21 Gun Salute and concert by Utah’s rising rock band, Royal Bliss at 3 p.m.
Registration for the ride costs $25.00 and includes a ticket to the concert, commemorative Utah 1033 Ride pin, band, Pat’s BBQ lunch and entry to win a Harley-Davidson Street 750 retailed at $8,500.
Tickets for the Royal Bliss concert can be purchased day-of at Deer Valley Resort’s Snow Park Lodge for $25.00
