GOOD VIBES: Student is recycling Great Lakes plastic waste into clothing

At 17 Jackson Riegler, created an apparel company. Now at 19 and University of Michigan student continues to run this business, which is different from the rest because this apparel is made out of plastic waste. The apparel company was founded out of Riegler’s passion for the Great Lakes. The t-shirts are actually made from plastic waste collected from the Great Lakes. The plastic waste is taken to local recycle companies, and eventually makes its way to North Carolina where it is processed into pellets of polyester yarn.
