After the wildfire hit the town of Paradise, California, the local high school girl’s volleyball team was still determined to play their semifinal championship match even though they didn’t have uniforms or equipment. The opposing team from Forest Lake Christian High School had a big surprise for them.
Within 24 hours, they had collected $16,000 in donations and when the girls from Paradise showed up, they were greeted with new custom uniforms, knee pads, and socks. But wait….there’s more! Each player was also given a $300 gift card, and there were truck loads of supplies and clothing for their families. Then, after the game they were all invited to a dinner banquet prepared by the Forest Lake families.
