Marc Yu of Vacaville, California found a letter in his mailbox that was very disturbing to his family. The letter (below) described the neighborhood as being established with residents priding themselves on the quiet atmosphere and cleanliness. The letter went on to say the community is making a request that his family find another place to live even going as far as saying, “Your interracial family is not welcome here.”
Yu’s family is interracial as are many of the other families in the neighborhood. The letter labeled Yu’s family as renters in the neighborhood and the letter writer would contact their landlord if they didn’t vacate in 60 days. Marc Yu owns his home which they purchased in November of 2018.
