() A TV news crew on the scene of a police manhunt for an armed suspect had a terrifying experience Tuesday when they actually encountered the suspect and he fired at them, all with the camera rolling.

In video footage posted online, the unidentified cameraman for Hartford, Conn. CBS affiliate WFSB is heard yelling to reporter Kim Lucey, “Kim, he’s right here.” The suspect, identified as Andrew Samuolis, emerges wearing a vest and then appears to raise a handgun to his head. The cameraman runs away as the suspect appears to spot him and yells “sh-t.” A shot is heard, then the cameraman says, “he fired at me.”
