UNIVERSITY OF UTAH PRESIDENT DAVID PERSHING HAS AGREED TO CONSIDER CHANGES, TO THE SCHOOL FIGHT SONG, THAT SOME COMPLAIN IS SEXIST.

PERSHING HAS ASKED THE U-OF-U STUDENT AFFAIRS OFFICE TO OVERSEE A COMMITTEE, THAT WILL CONSIDER SMALL CHANGES TO THE "UTAH MAN" SONG.

LAST MONTH, STUDENT GOVERNMENT LEADERS PASSED A RESOLUTION URGING CHANGES -- TO THE CENTURY-OLD SONG -- WITH LYRICS THAT INCLUDE, "OUR COEDS ARE THE FAIREST."

PERSHING SAYS HE'S COMMITTED TO BOTH "TRADITION AND INCLUSION."

THE U. WILL ACCEPT PUBLIC COMMENT -- BY E-MAIL -- THROUGH THE END OF THE MONTH.
