STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL JOHN SWALLOW SAYS, THE UTAH BAR HAS CLOSED ONE OF ITS TWO CASES AGAINST HIM.

SWALLOW SAYS THE BAR SENT HIM A LETTER LAST WEEK, SAYING IT TOOK THE ACTION AFTER REVIEWING ALLEGATIONS, HE VIOLATED RULES OF PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT.

THE COMPLAINT -- FILED BY THE ALLIANCE FOR A BETTER UTAH -- FOCUSED ON $23,000 IN PAYMENTS SWALLOW RECEIVED FOR CONSULTING WORK IN NEVADA.

THE ALLIANCE ACCUSES THE BAR OF NOT LOOKING INTO THE CLAIMS THOROUGHLY ENOUGH.
