Box Elder County search and rescue crews have located a missing family of five in Perry Canyon.

All are believed to be in good condition.

Sheriff’s Sargeant Steve Berry said search and rescue crews found the couple -- and their children, ages 12 and 13 -- following a lengthy search that began Tuesday night.

The family was found at the bottom of the canyon, several miles from where a wildfire had started hours earlier.

Authorities had speculated the family started the blaze as a way to signal rescuers.  But given where it began -- and where they were found -- that no longer appears likely.

Firefighters are battling that blaze now, along with others across the state.
