Courtney Jarrell, 22, had been working as a math teacher and sophomore girls basketball coach only eight months, when allegations surfaced she had sexually abused a 17-year-old student.

She is now out of jail, on bail, facing one first degree felony and one second degree felony.

Prosecutors claim the crimes occurred last January and February, at the defendant's home.

Her next court appearance is scheduled for May 16th.

District officials say there have been no other compaints filed by other students or their parents.
